Daniel & Kaylee // New York City Rooftop Proposal

When Daniel first came to me with the idea of proposing to Kaylee in New York & bringing me along to document, I was ecstatic! I LOVE proposals & I love love love NYC, so I mean what could be better?!

After some serious brainstorming & research, Daniel found the most perfect location & we devised a plan to make this surprise epic. Last Monday, before the sun came up, we both hopped on a plane & secretly made our way to Brooklyn where Kaylee was visiting for a work trip.

The proposal went down on the patio of Westlight Bar in the William Vale Hotel. To say the views were unreal is an understatement- I mean, it's just insane. It was all perfect. Daniel laid out a special blanket that Kaylee had given him as a gift years before & one they frequently use for picnics. The weather was biting cold, but the sun was shining bright. The entire Manhattan skyline was sprawled out behind us. I crouched on the ground behind a wall & Daniel swayed excitedly/nervously back & forth as we waited for Kaylee to arrive for "drinks with friends".

Her face of shock when she first saw him was priceless. She stood frozen with her hands on her face & Daniel had to come lead her to the blanket where he would propose. And just like that, these two high school sweethearts get to be together forever! EEEEK! 

Matt & Bekah // South Florida Winter Wedding

This celebration went down at the epic Bellewood Plantation on probably the coldest night of December. It was a day full of happy tears & such sweet displays of emotion. The respect & admiration between these two was so tangible & such a joy to witness. I just adore them!

Dex & Megan // Intimate Bohemian Backyard Wedding

There really are no words for this one.

All I can say is that Dex & Megan's story is so special to me.

It's soaked in hope & redemption. It was everything I needed to see in this season of my life. Being there on that day, I felt their joy in my bones & I feel it again every time I look at these images. 

David & Tara // St. Augustine Engagement

I'm gonna keep this one short & sweet, because let's be honest, it's a few days before Christmas & no one has time to read more than a few sentences anyways..am I right? 

Last month, David, Tara & I ran around St. Augustine, one of my favorite Floridian cities. The weather was amazing & the wind was doing all the right & perfect things for Tara's hair. The chemistry between these two is off the charts & it was making my giddy how at home they are together.

It was an all around great time, I love these images, & I'm so so excited for their wedding in just a few weeks! EEK!

Jamie & Suz // Brooklyn Rooftop Engagement

Back in November I was able to visit New York City for Jamie & Suz's engagement photos & holy cow, was it fun. I mean it was next level fun. We ran around their Brooklyn neighborhood, drank beer in Ubers, ate delicious pizza, & climbed to their rooftop for a sunset that couldn't have been better. We spent an entire afternoon together & it was non stop laughter & fun for me. These two are like a breath of fresh air & I'm so so happy to have made these photos with them.

Zachary & Lauren // Alabama Mountain Wedding

It was a breezy early October day in Mentone, AL, the kind of day where you know Fall has officially arrived. The leaves were just starting to turn & the view at the end of the ridge was the most beautiful mossy green.

As the sunset behind them, Zach & Lauren exchanged vows with their friends & family looking on adoringly. All around it was an amazing day & celebration-one I'm so happy to have been a part of. <3

John & Rainee // Engagement

Last month I drove to the gulf coast of Florida to meet John & Rainee. Gosh, they are both incredible. We ran around the beach playing in the cloudy sunset light, braved the chilly water as the moon rose, & didn't stop shooting till there was not a drop of light left in the sky. I shed a few quiet tears as I watched their tenderness with one another come alive in front of my camera. 

So happy for this special afternoon spent with them. <3

Elliot & Melissa // Atlanta Urban Loft Wedding

Elliot & Melissa's wedding day was one for the books. The location was to die for- an actual dream come true for my minimalistic, warehousey loft loving heart. And the people, oh my, the people.  From the moment Melissa & I first spoke on the phone during our consult, we instantly connected. Meeting her on the wedding day was no different- she ran up to me, giant smile on her face & gave me the sweetest hug. It was as if we'd been friends for years. 

Melissa's energy & kindness was infectious. Her friends were amazing & it hardly felt like work getting to spend the day with them. Elliot & Melissa wed a few days before they would celebrate their 12th anniversary together. High school sweethearts, through & through- Melissa asked Elliot to homecoming & the love never stopped. 

It was a honor to stand alongside such joyful & kind couple as they entered into a new level of life together. Thank you so much for having me Elliot & Melissa. I love these images & I hope they live long in your hearts as well. 

Jesse & Bekah // Central Florida Wedding

Jesse & Bekah wed on a scorching hot summer day in July & we spent the day running from one air conditioned space to the next. But even in the heat, there was lots of celebration to be had, including tons of dancing. My was there dancing! 

My favorite parts of the day were definitely portrait time because the excitement of being freshly married was just oozing out of these two (they were so dang cute!) & of course, the reception. Dancing at receptions has always been one of my favorite parts in a wedding day & Jesse, Bekah, & their crew certainly did not disappoint. They were seriously such a blast!

Jordan & Lindsey // Winter Park Wedding

I'm gonna keep this one short & sweet & let the images speak for themselves. Jordan & Lindsey married on a hot summers day in Winter Park, Florida. They chose the Alfond Inn, one of my favorite hotels in town, as their backdrop & it certainly didn't disappoint. The wedding party was goofy, fun, & kept us laughing all day. Jordan & Lindsey celebrated into the night with family & friends & it was just a beautiful day all around! 

Lindsey has some of the prettiest hair I've ever seen, holy cow. Oh & a groom in a tux is always an A+ in my book! Congrats you two, it was a blast being a part of your day!
