The Ferraro's // A Sunset Field Family Session

Man, I love photographing families. There is something so beautiful about the craziness, the unpredictability, the chaos. Without fail, the kids never do what you want them to. They rarely smile on command or stand in the perfect light. But they run through the grass laughing, roll in the dirt grinning ear to ear, kiss their sibling as they wrestle them to the ground & hug their dads neck as he swings them into the air. I’m not a parent, but if I were, that’s what I would want hanging on my walls anyways. I would want to see my family just as they are- not totally in line, but having fun while trying.

The Ferraro’s were incredible. They simply existed in this field, hanging out & trusting me to capture them just as they were- happy, content, & loving on one another.

Derrick & Erika // Atlanta Sweetwater Brewing Wedding

I’ll tell you what- it doesn’t get any more chill than Derrick & Erika. We hung out in a brewery, grabbing a lil beer anytime we’d walk passed a draft station. We danced around the rooftop at dusk, “cheers-ing” & taking in Erika’s contagious laughter & Derrick’s steady kindness. And when I asked Erika where Derrick’s wedding ring was she grinningly answered “ well probably on a UPS truck somewhere in Atlanta, maybe getting delivered by 5pm, but mayyyyybe not.” And that’s just pretty much how the day went- it felt like a Saturday with friends who also just happened to be getting married.

It was a joy being with them & their kind, bright spirits had me driving home with a giant smile on my face. I felt truly lucky to spend that day in celebration with them.

David & Kiana // Rollins Chapel Winter Park Racquet Club Wedding

Kiana & David- some of the sweetest people around. Add in their next level fun family & friends & it was hard for the day to anything short of a blast. Plus any day that includes a sunset cruise is top notch in my book. I love the Rollins Chapel/ Winter Park Racquet Club combo for this very reason- so many pockets of good light & photo goodness!

Enjoy <3

Keith & Andia // Intimate At Home Maternity Session

We settled onto the floor of their living room. It was raining, there was a Laura Mvula record playing over the sound of the drizzle. When Andia scheduled the session a few weeks before, the significance of the date was lost in the bustle of coordinating calendars, but sitting there then, exactly 1 year to the day, since their dear son was laid to rest, it felt divinely arranged. I watched as Keith & Andia each created a piece of art inspired by the memory of their son. They worked quietly, periodically breaking to exchange a smile or admire the others progress.

The pieces were hung by their bed, followed by a slow dance of covenant embraces. With every sway, every step, I could feel their joyful anticipation for this new child filling the room. Andia's radiant smile, they way her head tilted towards the heavens in laughter. Keith's tender grasp on her stomach, the gaze in his eyes when they were resting on her.

It was holy ground.

Michael & Carlin // Winter Park Mead Garden Wedding

During our consultation, we sat on the back patio of a favorite local bar sharing happy hour IPA's. During the engagement shoot, we took a break for tequila shots & finished the night laughing over burgers. At every step of the way, our hangs lasted longer than the photos & pretty soon Michael & Carlin felt more like friends than clients.

I really couldn't ask for more amazing people to be around - they are intentional, kind, lovers of people & all around super quality humans.

Love ya'll forever. <3

Daniel & Kaylee // A Rainy Rooftop Wedding

A wedding that all my dreams are made of- moody getting ready light, parking garages, rooftops, wedding parties that dance to Chance the Rapper during portraits, freaking cute as heck humans, oh and RAINNNN.

Words fall sort on this one, as they so often do. But all I can say is I will never forget the moment the sky unleashed as Kaylee began her walk down the aisle. Without hesitation, she made her way to Daniel, both of them beaming from ear to ear. Rain soaked & without a care in the world, they promised each other forever. I felt honored to bear witness to the covenant of people who truly get it- that a wedding day isn't really about a wedding at all.

Cameron & Kelsey // A Delamater House Wedding

Cameron & Kelsey, two of the sweetest humans to ever live. Their wedding day was full of intentionality & vulnerability. Their vows were sacred & a beautiful picture of true commitment & sacrificial love. I love these two with all my heart & they deserve the world. Standing with them on this day was an honor. <3

I'm so happy I get to live life with you, Cam & Kels. <3
