Jamie & Suz // Brooklyn Rooftop Engagement

Back in November I was able to visit New York City for Jamie & Suz's engagement photos & holy cow, was it fun. I mean it was next level fun. We ran around their Brooklyn neighborhood, drank beer in Ubers, ate delicious pizza, & climbed to their rooftop for a sunset that couldn't have been better. We spent an entire afternoon together & it was non stop laughter & fun for me. These two are like a breath of fresh air & I'm so so happy to have made these photos with them.

I could go on forever, but I'll just let the images speak for themselves. Enjoy <3

Alan & Shan // Love

I don't even know where to start with this one today. I'm so in love with these photos that I barely have words. I hope it's no secret that my favorite thing about a photograph is the emotion it portrays. Time and time again it's the sole thing that keeps me motivated in this career.

I'm so thankful that Alan & Shannon offered me a window into their love, giving us the opportunity to make these images together. I definitely cried a tiny bit during the session & multiple times while editing it. Partly because I'm a big baby, but mostly because I am just so moved by intimacy & connection. I believe it's among the most sacred & beautiful elements of human experience.

I hope these images encapsulate a specific time & place of love, discovery & growth in Alan & Shan's relationship -visual reminders of the life they are building together.

These are some of my favorite photos I've taken for so many reasons. Enjoy.

Jason & Nat // ADVENTURE SESSIONS // Engagement

You know it's gonna be a good one when you meet prospective clients for a consult & you end up talking for over 2 hours about life & ya'lls mutual affinity for the Orlando Magic & Taylor Swift!  That's exactly how it went with Jason & Nat. We clicked instantly & I knew we were in for some fun!

Jason & Nat really wanted to do an ADVENTURE SESSION for their engagements which was so so exciting to me. We started the day walking around their neighborhood with their sweet dog, Charlie. Then we found ourselves in an alleyway doing the "Nae Nae" & having a dance party for the camera. Afterwards we headed out to Wekiva Springs to do some hiking & adventuring. We had planned to end the day with a peaceful canoe trip, but to our dismay, the canoe rental closed early that day. So there we were standing on the edge of the river where we had planned to launch our canoes, the sun was quickly setting, & Nat looks over at me & said "you know we brought a change of clothes in case you wanted us to get in the water?"

I didn't even try to hide my excitement. They ran towards the water & we played until the sun went down. The images from this portion are definitely my favorite from the day. Oftentimes the best moments can't be planned. So much good comes from going with the flow & embracing whatever adventure is in front of you at the time. I'm so happy Jason & Nat were down for the moment that day!

Can't wait for their wedding in April!
